First Lady with students |
Saturday, November 14, 2015 was a
joyful day all day long to the natives of Buye commune and to the apprentices of the
Buntu Professional Training Centre of Buye, a center built by Buntu Foundation,
represented by the First Lady of the Republic of Burundi, HE Denise Bucumi
NKURUNZIZA.
In her allocution, Pastor Denise
Bucumi NKURUNZIZA thanked all the administration for their contribution in well
going of that training. She also recommended those apprentices to keep the
term "BUNTU" in their mind so that it will guide them in all their
activities. BUNTU
is a Kirundi word with two meanings: “With sense of humanity” and “Grace.” The First Lady called the people to be interested by another school
of sculptors that had been opened by Buntu Foundation.
Pastor Denise NKURUNZIZA
pursued the delivery of the diplomas and certificates to the prizewinners.
Thus, in hotel business and tourism, there were 33 prizewinners who got the
diplomas; and 22 prizewinners in the sewing section who received certificates. The First Lady finished the ceremonies with the prayer.
