In Buntu foundation’s building located nearby ‘ avenue du Large’ in Kabondo quarter, June 15th 2016 at 10 o clock: HUAWEI Technologies(Uganda) Co.Ltd granted fifteen computers and one printer and six tablets to Buntu Foundation that the First Lady of the Republic of Burundi is founder and Chairlady.
Steven LIU, the Managing Director of Huawei Technologies (Uganda)Co.Ltd stated that with Buntu Foundation, they are committed to positively impact the society through the seeds for the future which means Huawei’s global CSR flagship program. He also promised that Huawei will continue to support Buntu Foundation in the framework of education and tours to Chine of five trainees once a year.
Her Excellency Reverend Pastor Denise Nkurunziza, the First Lady of the Republic of Burundi and the Chairlady of Buntu Foundation appreciated the donation and the initiatives of Huawei especially in Burundi. She also pointed out that the beneficiaries of this gift are orphans whose education is supported by Buntu Foundation. She finally thanked different good-doers who support Buntu Foundation to attend its mission which is to restore hope to orphans and widows, senior citizens and the disabled without forgetting the victims of HIV/AIDS.
