THE BUNTU FOUNDATION CREATED A BUNTU TV RADIO

Since this Saturday, January 03, 2018, a Buntu Radio TV "The Voice of Orphans and Widows began broadcasting on 96.3 FM at Buye, Mwumba Commune, Ngozi Province. This radio, inaugurated by President Nkurunziza, is editorial in support of the initiatives of the poor. It was created by the Buntu Foundation, a philanthropic organization led by the First Lady of Burundi.

In her welcoming speech, Mrs. Denise Nkurunziza, The First Lady of Burundi said that the radio currently covers the entire north, center and part of eastern Burundi. But there is a plan to put relay transmitters to cover all the territory and neighbouring countries of Burundi. She also indicated that the radio will also be online for the world to watch its broadcasts. The purpose of this radio station is to give hope to the most deprived people, including orphans, widows, etc. There will also be social and economic development programs. It was also an opportunity to thank organizations such as UNFPA for supporting that project and others who gave their contributions.

In his speech, the President of the Republic congratulated the Buntu Foundation for achieving its vision. The Head of State also encouraged the Radio TV Buntu which has a perspective to support the initiatives of the disinherited people. For him, he described that radio as a great contribution to the development of the country and showed his unwavering support for such initiatives.

Note that the Buntu TV Radio starts with a radio but the television will be installed later.

BUNTU FOUNDATION GRANTED A SOLIDARITY HELP TO THE CENTER OF SAINT KIZITO OF BUJUMBURA TOWN

On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, the Buntu Foundation, under the Represented by Her Excellency Reverend Denise Nkurunziza, the First Lady of Burundi granted a donation of wheelchairs, milk and rice to the children with disabilities of the Center Saint Kizito which is in City Hall of Bujumbura, in Mukaza commune. According to the Representative of the Buntu Foundation, this gift is a sign of solidarity and love that the organization always shows to deprived people.

Anne Marie MUSHIRANZIGO, the Director of the Saint KIZITO Center, greatly appreciated the unwavering support of Mrs. Denise NKURUNZIZA because it is not the first time to visit that center. She said that that help brought a strong hand by the fact that it will reduce the charges that are exorbitant.

Her Excellency Denise NKURUNZIZA, Representative of BUNTU Foundation, appreciated the work done by the agents of the Saint KIZITO Center to improve the lives of children with disabilities; she said that the 9 wheelchairs represent a sample that will be presented to the partners to ask for a large quantity that can help the largest number of children with disabilities. Another aid given by the Buntu Foundation consisted of 39 cartons of milk and 1300kg of rice.

Before handing over this gift, in the said center, the Spouse of the Head of State of Burundi took for treatment NIYONYISHU Chancelline, an orphan adopted since April 2017.

THE VISIT OF THE FIRST LADY OF BURUNDI IN BUJUMBURA PROVINCE

On Saturday, March 25, 2017, Her Excellency Denise Nkurunziza, the First Lady of Burundi and the Representative of Buntu Foundation paid a visit to the patients admitted to Rushubi Hospital in the Province of Bujumbura. During that visit, the Spouse of the Head of State granted, in the framework of Buntu Foundation, a social assistance consisting of 60 cartons of milk and seven wheelchairs to the sick. That help was given to the sick in general and HIV-positive in particular, to give them back their Hope. That visit was paid in all the departments of that hospital, that is to say, Paediatrics, Maternity and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Claude Nijimbere thanked the First Lady of the country and asked for support for two cases of diseases that require great expertise abroad.

After the visit to hospital, Her Excellency Rev. Denise Nkurunziza went to meet with the Christians of Bujumbura province in a prayer session organized for the natives of that province. In that prayer, the First Lady of Burundi exhorted people to remain in integrity as the Holy Bible says in Proverbs 11: 3: "The integrity of righteous men directs them, but the deceit of the perfidious cause their ruin ".

For the First Lady of the country, integrity and patience build the country while treachery destroys it. She encouraged people to move away from evil in everything they do. "A person of integrity never makes sexual vagrancy and is not ungrateful because he thinks of the interest of others," said the First Lady.

Among the participants in the prayer were also the members of the parliament and the Senate, the native military and police officers of that province, as well as the local administrators.

These two activities are part of the visit of the First Lady of the country to Bujumbura province since March 24, 2017.

FIRST LADY DENISE NKURUNZIZA WISHED A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO PATIENTS ADMITTED TO KAYANZA HOSPITAL

In framework of Buntu Foundation, The First Lady Denise Nkurunziza payed a visit to patients admitted in maternity block of Kayanza Hospital to wish them a happy new year. Some were with their new born infants and one of them has given birth to twins. Others were admitted due to gynaecological problems. Each of both received 10 kg of rice, 10 kg of beans, sugar, milk and loincloths granted by the First Lady Denise Nkurunziza. The latter expressed her best wishes to them for 2017. It was a great joy for the mothers. Some of them are poor, to get food is a big challenge. Still others were admitted to the hospital before the beginning of the New Year and so didn’t they celebrate the event. According to them, the First Lady came at the right time, before their going back home. “We won’t starve when we are home. God bless her” they said. Besides, the First Lady Denise Nkurunziza called them to family planning as Kayanza is the most populated of all provinces of the country and land is so small to meet the population growth of the area.

HER EXCELLENCY MADAM DENISE NKURUNZIZA PRESENTED HER BEST WISHES TO THE ORPHANS OF GITEGA 1

Her Excellency Denise Nkurunziza paid a visit to the Bernadette’s orphanage commonly named "Saint Trinité" with the goal of presentation of her best wishes for the upcoming year, and offering Christmas gifts to the orphans. It was in the framework of Buntu Foundation, the First Lady of Burundi’s Organization created to restore hope of orphans and widows of war and HIV/AIDS, the senior citizens and people with disabilities.

“The objective of this visit is to make best wishes to the orphans who live here, for the new year 2017 and grant to them the Christmas gifts. That’s why I carry an assistance of 200 kg of rice, 240 kg of beans, 7 boxes of milk, I mean 168 pieces, 50 goblets, 10 loin clothes, 30 pans, and so on”, said the First Lady.
The Representative of the orphanage thanked H.E Denise Nkurunziza and her foundation for her hospitality and precised that they care 50 orphans and 4 people with disabilities. She also asked the First Lady to support them with wheelchairs.

THE INAUGURATION OF THE ORPHANAGE "UMUSAMARIYA W'IMBABABAZI" AT BUYE, NGOZI PROVINCE



November 5, 2016, His Excellency Peter Nkurunziza inaugurated the orphanage "Umusamariya w'imbabazi" built by the First Lady of Burundi in the framework of Buntu Foundation which is a philanthropic organization which was initiated by H.E Denise Nkurunziza to restore hope of the orphans, the widows, the senior citizen and people with disabilities.
"Umusamariya w'imbabazi" was built on 3 stages, and it can shelter more than less 50 orphans from different areas of the country. The beneficiaries will profit the education, the nourishment, the extra-curricular activities like games, cinema, and so on. The orphanage has also rooms and offices for the frames.
H. E thanked God for the steps already attended and prayed for the equipments.

BUNTU FOUNDATION HAS RECEIVED THE VISITORS FROM AUSTRALIA



 
Today, November27, 2016, H. E Denise Nkurunziza has received in audience three persons from Australia who have paid a visit to Buntu Foundation. The visitors are members of “Jakob Ministries” which is commonly known as the Christian organisation.
In that discussion, the First Lady of Burundi has presented the mission of Buntu Foundation: “To restore hope to the orphans and widows of the war and HIV/AIDS, senior citizens, people with disabilities, and poor.” She has also shared with them the main activities of Buntu Foundation, and thanked them for having visited Burundi while some people are slandering the nation.
The chief of delegation Apostle Steve Davis has welcomed the activities of the First Lady of Burundi.
