H.E Rev.Denise Nkurunziza with the HIV-positive carrying cartons of milk |
On Saturday, March 25, 2017, Her Excellency Denise
Nkurunziza, the First Lady of Burundi and the Representative of Buntu
Foundation paid a visit to the patients admitted to Rushubi Hospital in the
Province of Bujumbura. During that visit, the Spouse of the Head of State
granted, in the framework of Buntu Foundation, a social assistance consisting
of 60 cartons of milk and seven wheelchairs to the sick. That help was given to
the sick in general and HIV-positive in particular, to give them back their
Hope. That visit was paid in all the departments of that hospital, that is to
say, Paediatrics, Maternity and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Claude Nijimbere thanked the First Lady of the
country and asked for support for two cases of diseases that require great
expertise abroad.
After the visit to hospital, Her Excellency Rev. Denise
Nkurunziza went to meet with the Christians of Bujumbura province in a prayer
session organized for the natives of that province. In that prayer, the First
Lady of Burundi exhorted people to remain in integrity as the Holy Bible says
in Proverbs 11: 3: "The integrity of righteous men directs them, but the
deceit of the perfidious cause their ruin ".
For the First Lady of the country, integrity and
patience build the country while treachery destroys it. She encouraged people
to move away from evil in everything they do. "A person of integrity never
makes sexual vagrancy and is not ungrateful because he thinks of the interest
of others," said the First Lady.
Among the participants in the prayer were also the
members of the parliament and the Senate, the native military and police
officers of that province, as well as the local administrators.
These two activities are part of the visit of the First
Lady of the country to Bujumbura province since March 24, 2017.
