The First Lady gave food to the patient |
At the Buye hospital in Ngozi province, the patients
celebrated the Easter with the help of Her Excellency Rev. Denise Nkurunziza,
the First Lady of Burundi, through her Foundation called «Buntu
Foundation". Nearly 110 patients enjoyed lunch accompanied drinks like
Fanta and milk in the first day after Easter. That act of charity was part of
the mission of Buntu Foundation to restore the hope to the poor and the
vulnerable.
In that hospital which dates from 1936, the Spouse of
the Head of State visited all the services including Pediatrics, Internal
Medicine, Maternity, Malnutrition and Surgery. The First Lady of the Country
indicated that she wanted to share the joy of Easter with those people who are
in difficulty to show them moral and material support. "I share with them
what I took on the day of the Easter," added Her Excellency Rev. Denise
Nkurunziza.
Doctor Ngendakumana Jean Claude, The director of the
Buye Hospital eagerly thanked the First Lady for her philanthropic character.
This kind of visit was also performed in several
hospitals to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
